What is E-Waste
Electronic Waste or E-Waste, is any Electronic item that require electricity or a battery to function. When a item gets old or faulty and cannot be used, it becomes E-Waste.

Electronic and Electrical waste includes ICT equipment, Consumer electronics and both small and large household appliances.
Why should we recover E-Waste?
Electronic and electrical waste contains both valuable and potentially hazardous material that can be recovered through proper recycling, while hazardous fractions can be treated prior to safe disposal.
E-Waste has direct and indirect effects on human health conditions. Ensure that E-Waste is handled correctly. A full list of registered E-Waste recyclers can we found on the e-Waste Association of South Africa's website (www.ewasa.org) under Membership.
